Upcoming Events
Cost: $165 before February 22nd!
When: Monday- Thursday, March 25-28, 2019 Where: San Diego, California (San Diego Convention Center) What: AMCP Annual is an annual event that is available for both students and professionals to attend. Education sessions available during this conference will be targeted on specialty pharmacy management, value-based contracting, the evolving healthcare environment, and managed care pharmacy research. There will also be a focus on the latest legislative and regulatory issues facing the healthcare environment. This is a great opportunity for students to network with other students and professionals, and get an idea of how poster presentations are exhibited at the conferences. Many of the other students we spoke to last year found out about their internships through Nexus, and we strongly encourage P1's and P2's to go! Click here for the full itinerary, and here for registration/housing details. Once you fill out that information and are fully registered, more information will be provided to sign up for the Buddy Program. This program is designed to match interested student pharmacists (typically P3s and P4s) with a managed care professional. Conference Buddies meet informally during the meeting and are able to answer any questions you may have about managed care pharmacy. Again, please reach out to [email protected] if you are interested in attending; we will be coordinating housing and transportation accommodations among our chairs/executive board members so that we can represent OSU together! |

Past Events
We are proud to announce the large presence of our OSU-AMCP chapter at the 2018 AMCP Nexus Conference at Orlando, FL. Our members were able to gain exposure to the current trends going on in managed care, industry, and specialty pharmacy. With the theme of preparing for the next generation of care, the conference supplemented our members' knowledge of the efforts to end the opioid epidemic, highly anticipated policy and advocacy changes, indication-based pricing, and so much more.
Fully maximizing the benefits of the abundance of networking opportunities offered by the conference, our members were able to engage fellows, residents, and professionals in events such as the Exchange and the Residency and Fellowship Showcase. Thank you to all those who attended the conference, we hope to continue having a large OSU chapter presence at the future AMCP conferences! |
